I was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 24th, 1986. However, I have deep roots in Missouri. My mother, (Carol Cordrey) was born in Washington, Missouri. Her mother, (Roberta Bigley) was born in Gerald, Missouri, as was my Great Grandmother (Beulah Jones). My Grandfather (Richard Bardot) was born in Washington, Missouri. He grew up and lives in the home his father built in Lonedell, Missouri. My Aunt and Uncle, (Glenda and Kevin Deffenbaugh) have managed the White Rose Cafe in Union for years. I lived in Union briefly, at the corner of Lindner Lane and West Main Street before moving to Hermann, Missouri, when I was a young child. I moved back to Union in 2016 because it made sense to live close to family while working in Saint Louis.
To put it mildly, I have deep roots in Franklin County. That’s one of the biggest reasons I decided to run for office. I love this area, and want to see it grow and prosper, with good leadership at the state and federal level. Local government is incredibly important, as it has the most direct effect on individuals lives. As your candidate, I want to be the most accessible person who has ever run for office.
Working Hard for Tomorrow
We have a lot of potential in Franklin County, and I want to tap into that. Here’s a preview of my vision:
Improving Highway Infrastructure
Bringing new, high-paying jobs to the area
Finding real solutions that work to combat opiod abuse
Moving Missouri to a ranked voting system
Conservation – preserving the best parts of Missouri for future generations
We cannot move forward if we are not improving the quality of education for our children. Teachers spend more time dealing with behavior issues than they do teaching. That needs to change. We can make it happen by working together.
Nobody should ever feel like their vote does not matter. If Missouri can implement ranked voting, you will never again have to choose between the candidate you think can win, and the candidate that you want to represent you. We can get this done, together.
Having access to affordable healthcare can mean the difference between struggling to make ends meet, and financial destitute. I support initiatives that aim to promote access to high quality healthcare while lowering the cost. Especially if those initiatives help people live better lives.
A vision for tomorrow
I don’t claim to have all the answers. Anyone who does probably spends more time talking than they do listening. That’s not the kind of person I am, and I don’t think it’s the kind of person that gets things done. For years, we’ve heard about how deadlocked the State and Federal Governments are. I think it’s time to change that.
When I look to the future, I see prosperity, growth, and health. I want to be your representative so I can work towards those goals, for you and with you. Change isn’t easy, but by speaking with community leaders, working with small business owners, and developing plans with real community input, I know we can make it happen.
If you do me the honor of electing me to represent you in the Missouri State Legislature, I promise to be the most connected representative you’ve ever had.
I grew up in the communication boom of the 90’s, and have been using the Internet for years. I’m on Twitter and Facebook, and I am a prolific user of E-Mail every day. As a software developer, I have helped build tools to improve scheduling and communication for hospitals and manufacturing companies. Face-to-face contact is incredibly important, which is why I will make town halls a priority. But if none of those work for you, you can find me at Oasis Lanes every Thursday night around 6PM. I’m on a bowling league, you should feel free to come talk to me!
I want to implement a system where you can get direct notifications of my activity, either by E-Mail or text message. I want to work hard for you, and I want to work with you to make Franklin County even better than it was yesterday.
That’s my vision for “Tomorrow”. That’s why I want to be your State Representative.
